Invitation to Bid – Pickup Trucks and Explorer

Groton Utilities will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Operations Complex Conference Room, 1240 Poquonnock Road, Groton, Connecticut 06340, until 1:00 P.M. prevailing time on November 12, 2019 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Required Bid Form and Specifications may be obtained by contacting Tara Sablon, Water Division Executive Assistant at 860-446-4022, picking them up at 1240 Poquonnock Road, Groton, Connecticut 06340, between 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday or on the grotonutilities.com website.

This specification is to set forth the specific requirements for two (2) 2020 4 X 4 super crew
Midsize pickup truck and one (1) 2020 4 X 4 Explorer or equal.

All equipment and material supplied shall be new and of the same current manufacture; it shall
meet or exceed any and all specifications described herein.

The bidder shall provide descriptive literature on all items provided along with detailed and
complete listings by model and option numbers.

Any installation of additional equipment to be provided by the successful bidder shall be in
accordance with any applicable manufacturer’s recommendations, applicable certifications and duly
authorized personnel.

All equipment and material being supplied shall be warranted against all defects for a period not
less than any manufacturer’s specified period from date of delivery. Bidders must include a statement of
warranty with the bid.

If it is necessary to bid alternate equipment or to take exception as set forth, this must be so stated
in your bid proposal. For each item, please indicate your compliance or non-compliance on this
document. For those items that you cannot comply with, please explain in the “COMMENTS” column
of this document. Failure to follow this format may cause your proposal to be disqualified. Final
decision of acceptance or rejection shall be that of Groton Utilities’ Director of Utilities.

Any variations from the specifications and/or recommended options must be clearly
indicated and/or explained, and the final decision of acceptance or rejection is that of the Groton
Utilities’ Director of Utilities.

If delivery time exceeds the delivery time stated in your quotation, Groton Utilities
reserves the right to require written and/or verbal confirmation from the supplier and/or
manufacturer.

Quotations must be received by November 12, 2019, 1:00 P.M., on this form at the Water
Division, 1240 Poquonnock Road, Groton, Connecticut 06340 if mailed FEDEX or UPS, or
Water Division, 295 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut 06340 if mailed regular mail in a
sealed envelope bearing your name and address marked Bid Invitation.
