Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth with Fairview’s Art of Chocolate!

Groton Utilities has been the primary sponsor of the Fairview Art of Chocolate Fundraiser event for several years. Fairview’s Art of Chocolate has been a fan favorite fundraiser since 2015 with over 500 people in attendance each year! While 2021’s event will look much different than years past, Fairview still wanted to find a way to bring chocolate to you…so we came up with the idea of chocolate tasting boxes that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your home.

Each tasting box will include samples for either one or two people, along with a tasting guide to tell you what each item is and where it is from. What better way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit than with a box of delicious chocolate creations from local vendors?

New this year: Purchase an Art of Chocolate tasting box for a Healthcare Hero at Fairview! Our dedicated staff has worked incredibly hard throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to do so every day. Help us show our team how loved and appreciated they are by purchasing tasting boxes that will be donated to Fairview staff members.

This year the following restaurants will be participating:

Black Dahlia Baking Company • Bleu Squid Breakfast Cafe & Never Enough Bake Shop

Fairview • Gourmet Galley Catering • Hauser Chocolatier • Karma Kitchen

Octagon at Mystic Marriott • Pop on the Block • Rise Nutrition

The 3-year rate track provides for virtually flat adjustments to nearly all customer’s electric bills. The residential rate classification will stay flat at a 0.1%, 0.0% and 0.0% rate adjustments respectively. The general commercial rate class will see small increases at 0.3%, 0.2% and 0.2% respectively. More energy intensive commercial/industrial customers within the large general service class will see the largest reductions at -0.9%, -0.5% and -0.5% respectively.

Bozrah Light and Power is proud to offer another three years of price stability. Although distribution costs continue to rise, BL&P has been able to hold rate increases to a minimum through reductions in wholesale energy markets and sound fiscal policy. BL&P is confident that the three year rate track will maintain and improve the fiscal health of the company allowing us to better serve the community and rate payers. We believe this updated rate track compliments our mission to be a premiere utility – at your service!

Non-Groton Utilities Customers Banking Transaction Issue

Groton Utilities has become aware of a problem with some non-Groton Utilities customers having what appears to be a deposit to Groton Utilities listed among their banking transactions. This appears to be a problem with mortgage payments made to TIAA (Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America) being erroneously listed as being made to Groton Utilities. It appears that the payments are still being successfully made to TIAA, as no unexpected payments have arrived at Groton Utilities.

We recommend that if this payment anomaly has occurred with your account to please contact TIAA at 866-282-4380 while also checking your on-line account with TIAA. We at Groton Utilities will continue to pursue a solution to this issue as well.
