Availability:  For all lighting, heating and power use subject to the limitations set forth in the Company’s Rules and Regulations for a farm Customer located on the Company’s distribution lines suitable for supplying the service requested.  Space heating and water heating equipment must be of a size and design approved by the Company.  Not available for seasonal, auxiliary or standby service.

Service shall be of one standard voltage delivered at one point through one installation of transformers when supplied by the Company and metered by one metering installation.

Minimum Charge:  The minimum monthly charge shall be the sum of the capacity charge and reactive charge.  The Company may however, require a higher minimum charge where the installation is of large size or is affected by special conditions.

Determination of Billing Capacity:  The billing capacity in any month is the highest measured kilowatts within such month, but not less than 50 kW and not less than 80% of the highest measured kilowatts within the preceding eleven months.  The interval for measuring billing capacity is 15 minutes.

Determination of Reactive Capacity:  The reactive capacity is defined as the highest 15 minute lagging reactive load in kilovolt amperes occurring during the month as determined by continuous measuring instruments.  The ratio between kilowatt and reactive capacity will be determined by continuous measuring instruments or by periodic tests at reasonable intervals and if determined by test the resulting ratio will remain in effect until a new determination is made.

Primary Delivery:  If the service is taken at the Customer’s property line and the Company is relieved of installing any transforming and sub-station equipment, except the metering equipment, the following deductions will be made from the kilowatt capacity charge:

The Company will furnish, maintain and operate suitable control apparatus in order to provide lighting from dusk to dawn (abnormal conditions excepted) for twelve months per year except as otherwise provided for.

The Company will make reasonable relocations and substitutions in this equipment as may be desired.

Billing:  Charges for annual use will be billed monthly in twelve (12) equal installments.  For seasonal use, annual charges will be billed monthly during the season in equal installments.

Term of Contract:  Two (2) years and thereafter until canceled by one (1) year’s written notice.

(1)  When such equipment is operated daily on a fixed schedule, the monthly capacity and energy use for each installation will be computed.

(2)  Customer shall install, own, operate, and maintain all equipment.

Availability:  On an annual basis to schools and churches for entire requirements using a controlled electric water heater served on this rate on November 1, 1986 subject to the limitations set for in the Company’s Rules and Regulations.

Space heating and water heating equipment must be of a size and design approved by the Company, and must be installed in accordance with the Company’s specifications.

Net Metering Rider

Applicable to Customers on Rate 1, Rate 3, Rate 4 and Rate 5 with Alternate Power Source

Availability:  This rider is applicable to customers with approved Alternate Power Source(s) of electricity other than the Bozrah Light and Power (Bozrah).  Customer generation does not relieve Bozrah of the obligation to deliver all power requirements.

Metering Requirements:  Metering equipment shall be installed that will allow measurement of total usage and of customer generation during each billing.

Billing for Net Metering Customers:  The APS customer shall be billed the monthly service charge, a metered energy charge for all delivered kWh, applicable PPA and TCA for all delivered kWh, State Mandated Conservation charge for the customers total facility load (kWh) and a transmission and distribution fee for the customer’s total facility load (kWh).  The customer shall be credited the meter energy charge and applicable PPA and TCA for all received kWh.

Definitions:

Alternate Power Sources (APS): Any non-utility electric energy source with an annual output less than the customer’s total annual facility load as measured in kWh on the customer’s premises approved by Bozrah Light and Power Company to provide electric power service to the customer.  APS may not exceed the customer’s peak demand.

Interconnection Costs: Installation of a generation system that will interconnect with Bozrah’s electric distribution system requires approval of BL&P and must conform to Bozrah equipment and engineering standards as set forth in Policy.

Metering Costs: To provide full requirements service, any and all costs above and beyond standard metering costs attributable to Customer’s decision to interconnect and operate APS in parallel with Bozrah electric system. All metering installations must conform to Bozrah equipment and engineering standards as set forth in Policy.

Parallel Operation: The Customer’s APS must be operated in compliance with the Bozrah Policy for parallel operation of self-generating facilities. Bozrah may suspend parallel operations of the Customer’s APS if, in Bozrah’s opinion, continued operation would endanger the operation, physical integrity of any Bozrah equipment or personnel or if such operation would cause or contribute to a system emergency.
