Eligibility Requirements:
All Commercial & Industrial electric customers of Groton Utilities and Bozrah Light & Power who contribute to the Energy Efficiency Fund. Rebate not to exceed 50% of total project cost.
Program Process:
Due to possible funding constraints, all rebate applications must be pre-approved before purchasing any equipment.
- Review eligibility requirements to ensure that all requirements can be met.
- Customer or Customer’s contractor performs refrigeration door heater and/or vending machine audit and inputs information into Groton Utilities refrigeration energy saving software spreadsheet.
- Customer or Customer’s contractor sends PRELIMINARY refrigeration energy savings spreadsheet to Groton utilities for review and pre-approval of rebate.
- Groton Utilities performs a pre-inspection (at its discretion).
- Customer or Customer’s contractor purchases refrigeration door heater and/or vending machine control equipment and installs equipment at Customer’s facility.
- Customer or Customer’s contractor sends FINAL refrigeration energy savings spreadsheet to Groton Utilities for review and approval of rebate.
- Groton Utilities performs a post-inspection.
- Rebate is approved and rebate check is sent to Customer or Customer’s contractor (if designated).
